Warranty Information

 

Valair Inc. warrants that our Performance Series Clutches are free from defects in workmanship and material under normal use and service for a period not exceeding 30 days on all organic singles disc clutches, 90 days on Hydraulics, 6 months or 6,000 miles on all performance single disc clutches and 12 months 12,000 miles on street dual disc clutches whichever occurs first from the original date of purchase.

The Limited Warranty will not be valid under the following conditions:

  • Flywheel was not replaced or resurfaced to specification before new clutch installation.
  • Clutches which have been physically altered, incorrectly installed, damaged by accident, negligence or misuse.
  • Clutches that have glazed over from improper break in.
  • Burned or Scorched Clutches.
  • 12.25" Clutch Disc Breakage (Does not apply to HD Spring Discs)
  • Clutches used for high performance events or applications (Drag Racing, Sled Pulling etc.) which were not specifically designed for these high performance events whether performed by an licensed organization or solely by the individual.
  • Hydraulics that break out of the firewall.

The obligation of ValAir Inc. under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the defective product/s. Inspection shall disclose to the satisfaction of ValAir Inc. that the clutch and/or components are defective.

 

All warranty claims must include a copy of the original invoice.

 

Labor and expedited shipping are not covered under warranty.

Due to the high cost of unreturned items being absorbed by Valair Inc. we will now require a deposit equal to 50% of the current MAP Price on all warranty replacement parts unless warrantable part is sent in prior to replacement being sent out. This deposit is 100% refundable once items are returned. In a new exchange situation items being returned must be received in resalable condition for deposit refund.A 15% restocking fee will apply to all new returns.

Buyer must return the defective parts only once he/she has received the consent or authorization of the seller. ValAir Inc. shall not be liable for any special, direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including, but not limited to, loss of life, bodily injury, claims for delay, loss of profits, or for labor.

No express or implied warranties either of merchantability or fitness for any particular use or purpose or otherwise, other than that expressly set forth above which are made expressly in lieu of all other warranties, shall apply to clutch products sold by Valair Inc.

 

The pictures below show examples of what will not be covered under warranty. These clutches have been abused, over/under powered, or used beyond what they were intended for (Sled pulling, Drag Racing, Boosted Launches).
Boosted launches will kill a single disc clutch a better choice would be a Dual Disc. Clutch was over powered. This was used in the wrong application or under powered. Towing with a Full Ceramic Clutch is not recommended. Runing a 600hp clutch in a 400hp truck can have the same results. If you decided to stick with your 1.25" input shaft rather than upgrade to the 1.375" input, a performance clutch may be to much the the stock shaft to handle.
